INLAND FLAT RATE PARCEL SALE AND BOOKING

  • Kurnool HO has been identified for booking of Flat Rate Parcels.
  • 30, 1KG and 2 KG boxes each are available at Kurnool HO.
  • A Meeting for popularizing FRPs has been conducted at DO on 07.07.2011 with Head Postmaster and APM [ Counters ].  Plan of action to sale boxes has been formulated.
  • Sale and Booking of FRPs is available in Point Of Sale Application Software. Following is the path for sale and booking at this software:
      • POS--> Operator --> Inland Mails--> EPP--> Flat Rate Parcel --> Sale or Booking
  • Sale and Booking will be done in the same screen.
  • First sale and after that Booking will arise.
  • On sale article number available on the FRP  is to be scanned.  Weight and Amount are to be selected from drop down menu.  Then Receipt has to be printed and the same is to be affixed on the Box itself. Then Box will be handed over to the Customer.
  • Flat Rate Box is valid for one year. i.e., from the date of sale, the customer can book the article with in one year.  The customer need not pay any fee at the time of booking of Flat Rate Box.
  • While Booking, Article number available on the box will be scanned.  Weight is to be selected from drop down menu.  From and To addresses are to be typed as usual.  Then the article has to be accepted by clicking on ACCEPT button.
